Melbourne based Fire Behaving As Air create bittersweet ethereal dream-pop and textured psychedelic noise rock and have recently celebrated the independent release of their debut extended play Desire.

Fire Behaving As Air’s track 'Tolerance' has been voted by the listeners of California based DKFM Shoegaze Radio as one of the Top 50 Most Loved Shoegaze and Dream Pop Tracks of 2012, as well as local support with airplay on PBS and 3RRR. Songs from Desire have being featured within various compilation and playlists including Shoegazer Alive Volume 29, Acid Tapes Volume 18, and Psychgaze 44 & 45.

Fire Behaving As Air are reminiscent of 60’s explorers The Velvet Underground and portraying emotions with that of 90’s dreamers The Dandy Warhols, Mazzy Star and Portishead whilst also sharing a connection with more modern artists such as Chelsea Wolfe and Theodor Bastard.

The band is currently in the studio adding layer upon layer to their next recording; a full length album’s worth of new material, with the aim to complete the recording process late 2015 or early 2025.
